Think-A-Move, Ltd. has published and presented numerous research relating to hands-free device control and communications using the inner ear for sound capture.

July 2009 - Army Research Laboratory issued a report on using Speech Control to control iRobot Packbot 510 with SPEAR. Scalability of Robotic Controllers: Speech-Based Robotic Controller Evaluation, by Rodger A. Pettitt; Elizabeth S. Redden; Christian B. Carstens; ARL-TR-4858.

April 2009 - Think-A-Move presented Field Experiments using SPEAR: A speech control system for UGVs Paper at the SPIE Defense, Security + Sensing 2009 Conference.  This paper reports on a Field Experiment carried out by the Human Research and Engineering Directorate at Ft. Benning to evaluate the efficacy of using speech to control an Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) concurrently with a hand-controller.

March 2008 - Think-A-Move presented a paper on Hands free device control using sound picked up in the ear canal at the SPIE Defense and Security Conference. The paper highlights research TAM conducted on hands-free control of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) with speech commands and tongue movements under a Phase II SBIR Grant from the Tank-Automotive, Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC).

June 19, 2008 - Think-A-Move presented a poster on Method for non-speech vocalization to control Unmanned Ground Vehicles using humming at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI).
